About Speed Tests
Why Fast.com?
Fast.com is a free internet speed test provided by Netflix. It's widely considered one of the most accurate speed tests because Netflix operates one of the largest content delivery networks in the world. The test measures your actual download speed from Netflix's servers, giving you a realistic picture of streaming and download performance.
What the Results Mean
- Download Speed (Mbps): How fast data travels from the internet to your device. Higher is better for streaming and downloads.
- Upload Speed: Click "Show more info" on Fast.com to see upload speed - important for video calls and file sharing.
- Latency (Ping): The delay in milliseconds. Lower is better, especially for gaming and video calls.
