Advanced validation includes SMTP verification but may take longer.

What is Email Validation?

Understanding Email Validation

Email validation is the process of verifying that an email address is valid, exists, and can receive emails. This helps reduce bounce rates, improve email deliverability, and maintain a clean email list for marketing campaigns and communications.

Basic vs Advanced Validation

  • Basic Validation: Checks email syntax (format) and domain existence via DNS. Fast and suitable for most use cases.
  • Advanced Validation: Includes basic checks plus SMTP verification to confirm the mailbox actually exists. More accurate but slower.

How to Use This Tool

You can validate emails in two ways:

  • Enter Emails: Paste or type email addresses directly (one per line or comma-separated)
  • Upload File: Upload a CSV or TXT file containing your email list (max 1000 emails, 5MB file size)

After validation, you can export results in multiple formats:

  • Export All: Download all results with full details
  • Export Valid Only: Get a clean list of only valid email addresses
  • Export Invalid Only: See which emails failed validation

Common Email Validation Issues

  • Invalid Format: Email doesn't follow standard format (e.g., missing @ symbol, invalid characters)
  • Domain Not Found: The domain part of the email doesn't exist or has no DNS records
  • No Mail Server: Domain exists but has no MX (Mail Exchange) records configured
  • Mailbox Doesn't Exist: Domain is valid but the specific mailbox doesn't exist (advanced validation only)
  • Disposable Email: Email uses a temporary/disposable email service
  • Role-Based Email: Email uses a generic role prefix (admin@, info@, etc.)
